Technical Background
Vacuum controlled water pump may draw excessive vacuum causing intake manifold flaps to malfunction.
Replacement vacuum hose with restrictor limits vacuum draw.
Production Solution
Improved vacuum hose in production.
Service
1. Replace vacuum hose between coolant pump and solenoid valve with updated part 06E 133 714 AA. Delete
fault memory and perform test drive.
2. If no faults return, then the vehicle is repaired. If faults return, follow GFF instructions.
