OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves replacing the rear axle assembly.

NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles within the following markets/countries: NAFTA and
EMEA.
NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles built on or after November 16, 2016 (MDH 1116XX)
and on or before December 22, 2016 (MDH 1222XX) equipped with 5.7L V8 Hemi MDS
V.V.T. (Sales Code EZH) and 3.92 Rear Axle Ratio (Sales Code DMH).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
If the vehicle is driven for a short period of time the rear axle may develop a whine noise.
DIAGNOSIS:
If a vehicle’s VIN is listed in VIP or your RRT VIN list, perform the repair.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Is the vehicle equipped with air suspension (Sales Code SER)?
a. YES>>> Proceed to Step 2.
b. NO >>> Proceed to Step 3.
2. Using wiTECH, under the Air Suspension Control Module (ASCM), perform routines:
• Disable the air suspension system.
• Deflate spring to reservoir.
3. Replace the rear axle. Refer to the detailed service procedures available in DealerCONNECT>
TechCONNECT under: Service Info> 03 - Differential and Driveline/Rear Axle - C235/RemovalInstallation.
NOTE: New fastener hardware must be used on the rear differential. Do not reuse the old
fastener hardware. See Parts Required list above.
POLICY:
Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.
