THIS SERVICE BULLETIN IS ALSO BEING RELEASED AS RAPID RESPONSE
TRANSMITTAL (RRT) 14-045. ALL APPLICABLE SOLD AND UN-SOLD RRT VIN's
HAVE BEEN LOADED. TO VERIFY THAT THIS RRT SERVICE ACTION IS
APPLICABLE TO THE VEHICLE, USE VIP OR PERFORM A VIN SEARCH IN
TECHCONNECT. ALL REPAIRS ARE REIMBURSABLE WITHIN THE PROVISIONS OF
WARRANTY.
THE wiTECH SOFTWARE LEVEL MUST BE AT 14.03 OR HIGHER TO PERFORM THIS
PROCEDURE.
SUBJECT:
Fog Lamps Stay On With High Beams
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves performing a Misc Function procedure, for proper fog lamp operation.

NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles built on or before October 25, 2013 (MDH
1025XX) equipped with Fog Lamps (sales code LNJ).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The customer may notice that the fog lamps stay on when the headlamp high beams are
on.
DIAGNOSIS:
Using a Scan Tool (wiTECH™) with the appropriate Diagnostic Procedures available in
TechCONNECT, verify no DTC's are set. If DTC's are present record them on the repair
order and repair as necessary before proceeding further with this bulletin.
If a customer’s VIN is listed in VIP or your RRT VIN list, perform the repair. For all other
customers that describe the symptom/condition, perform the Repair Procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. If the vehicle is an unsold unit and still in logistic mode (ship mode) it must put in
customer mode to complete this procedure.
2. Using wiTECH select the BCM icon, and then go to Misc Function and select “Exit
Logistic Mode”.

NOTE: Once the vehicle is taken out of Logistic Mode, it can NOT be put back into
Logistic Mode.
3. Now perform Misc Function “Enable Front Fog Lamp Output”. Enable front fog lamp
dropout will now appear, select “Continue” to complete this procedure.
4. Using wiTECH clear any DTCs which may have been set during this procedure.
