• Recall 125520 [USA]: If the vehicle does not accelerate as expected, there may be an increased risk of a crash.
  Chrysler (fca us llc) is recalling certain 2014 fiat 500l vehicles. The powertrain control module (pcm) software calibration maybe incorrect, limiting the engine to idle speed and torque even when accelerator pedal is fully pressed.

• Recall 105021 [USA]: If the knee airbag air bag does not deploy properly during a crash, there is an increased risk of driver injury.
  Chrysler group llc (chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 fiat 500l vehicles manufactured march 3, 2012, to july 25, 2014. Irregularities in the folding process during assembly of the driver's knee airbag may result in its improper deployment. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 208, "occupant crash protection."

• Recall R/2017/325 [UK]: Supplementary heater wiring may become damaged and cause an electrical short-circuit
  On some fiat 500l vehicles a layout non-conformity could cause abrasion of the supplementary heater (ptc) wiring. This could result in possible electric short-circuiting with the possibility of a loss of some vehicle safety. In the worst case it could cause a vehicle fire..

  On certain vehicles equipped with 1.4l engines, there may be a software calibration fault in the powertrain control module (pcm) which could cause a delayed throttle response to accelerate or maintain vehicle speed. A loss of vehicle propulsion could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: dealers will reprogram the pcm with revised software.

• Recall 2014340 [Canada]: Airbag
  On certain vehicles, the driver's knee airbag may have been folded incorrectly at time of assembly. This could cause irregular airbag deployment, which could increase the risk of injury to an unbelted driver in a crash that warrants airbag deployment. Correction: dealers will replace the airbag. Note: drivers and passengers should always wear their seatbelt.

  On certain vehicles equipped with automatic transmissions, a defect may result in a loss of communication between the gearshift module and the transmission. This may delay or disable the driver's ability to shift the transmission. This could result in unintended vehicle movement, increasing the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: dealers will replace affected gear shift modules or reprogram gear shift module software, as necessary.

Recalls t19/nhtsa 17v-192 and p06/nhtsa 14v-103 i have taken mt fiat 500l to crown fiat dublin ohio for the same things that the above recalls show. I have looked on line and it showes that the recalls have been done, but i am still having the same problem with the vehicle. What should i do now if they can not remedy this problem. Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

First, i have loved this car - except: right now i have 22,315 miles on my 2014 fiat 500l. There is a definite steering problem that is intermittent but every time it reoccurs it's worse. Today i had difficulty keeping the car in the lane and when i got home felt as though i'd been driving a truck! This didn't happen when it was new and i could drive for 5-6 hours on the freeway with no issues. I've taken it to the dealer once and was told that's the way the car is supposed to drive. That was on 2/20/18 with 10,966 miles. Speed doesn't seem to matter. My husband and i think this problem should be looked into before someone is killed because they drift out of their lane.

Purchased this vehicle from manhattan alfa romeo fiat in dec 2017. It had 17000 miles and i purchased and extended warranty with zurich for power tain from manhattan fiat. The car had 1 recalls for transmission issues on in march 2014 and one in march 2017. The car now needs a complete new transmission and it only has 52457 miles. The repair is over $7000. The warranty is claiming that it will not cover the transmission because it is outside parts of the transmission -hydrallic supply unit but the part can only be replaced as a whole unit. I called chrysler/fiat headquarters and they would not help me. The car has had transmission issues from when it was made. All the recalls and issues with the car they should be able to help me. The extended warranty not covering the transmission repair because they deem it an outside part when it is part of the transmission. Who can a consumer turn to. This is fraud.

Once you turn off the vehicle it will not start again unless put on a battery charger, as it's stuck in 1st gear (per the shop). Took it to a shop, they stated it appears to be related to the first recall that i had completed and the dealer says they can't do anything since recall already done.

Something going on with the transmission module a it's runs but sometimes when it appears something is stuck causing transmission light appear and sometimes it stops me in middle of road not going it's disconnected somewhere not safe in middle of road seems it's never been fixed from recall?? It did to me in middle of road even it's not overheat as well had to shut off wait for like 1 minute then start and go it wouldn't start right away something with the sensor somewhere for no appearly reason over all it runs great but something to do woth module a is what they seen on the check up when engine light came on. Did it 3 times in me in middle of road when transmission won't go like i said i was told when they did the device checking when engine light came on and checked from there . Been doing this more last month and this monthlies it need update or what need help please

I went to go move my car and it wouldn't go into reverse after several tries then eventually it just went into reverse and was okay. The next day it did the exact same thing but wouldn't go into drive.
