Truck under 52,000 miles, had all known recalls (6) performed at cliff anschuetz. All maintenance performed within manufacture specified guide lines here also. Truck never displayed error code or service engine light since purchased new. Driving home from work 45 miles an hour march 6, 2019, engine message displayed with beep tone: oil pressure low turn off engine. I immediately pulled off, let truck sit for 5 minutes. No oil or fluids where leaking. Oil appeared normal and at proper level, did not smell burned. Started engine error code was gone, drove 1 miles to auto repair shop. Same error message appeared after going 100'. Auto repair shop gave me bad news 3 codes: 1) P0324 knock sensor, 2) P0521 engine oil pressure performance, 3) P06DD engine oil pressure control solenoid valve stuck off. Went to feldman Chevrolet of highland, technician told me this should be covered under warranty, lakeside towing delivered my truck there. Feldman will not cover repairs stating out of warranty. Will give me $2000 dollars off on certi rebuilt motor, my cost $7,200 w/12 month warranty. Not acceptable. Salesman there offered me $8000 as trade in. Working with gm complaint department, they have been given all information. Been nice but seems like i am caught in middle between her and service manager at feldman. As of, 4/30/2019, i am awaiting a call back from gm. This is a known defect in this engine described in so many blogs! Google 2014 chevy Silverado 1500 engine failure. Vacuum pump only warrantied to 36k, 2016-17 trucks only have a 60k powertrain warranty. Tells you something, gm dropped powertrain warranty down to 60k for 2016-17. This is not common problem, only a matter of when the vacuum pump fails. Pump fails, starts pumping metal debris back into oil/lubrication system taking out the oil pump then the engine. I owe feldman $970 for tear down and for removing oil pan!

Check engine light comes on P06DD. Initially it was a oil injector that needed replacing within the first 4 years of purchase of a new truck. When the code comes on later it's the oil pump. Oil pump has a pressure switch on it that says pump oil at 10 ppm, if it goes at 7 ppm it will cause the check engine light to come on.The oil pressure going into the engine at 7 ppm is not s serious issue and shouldn't cause the check engine light to come on.I live in a state county where you can't register your 1500 truck for a new vehicle registration with the check engine light on.The dealer wants to bill me 10 hours of labor because of where the oil pump is located inside the engine. The local dealership wants to charge $1,000 for the replacement fo the oil pump and the connected sensor.I would like to see a recall effort happen which will not make the sensor enact the check engine light for small irreverent discretion with the pressure switch.

Code P06DD came on while driving home from work 10 miles away. We reset and truck was driving fine. On 10 degree day, truck displayed low oil pressure shut off vehicle while driving one mile away from work. Checked oil and topped off, tried to start vehicle, heard a noise and truck started ticking noise. Replaced spark plugs and oil pressure switch and still ticking. Forums stated it could be that or the oil pump. Looking at putting in a new oil pump but wondering if this is part of the previous recall.

2014 DODGE CHARGER with 70000 miles

Around 70k miles i noticed my car not wanting to turn left, especially when braking. The wheel seems to lock up and is very difficult to turn. I also noticed a knocking, rattling type noise, that seems to come from the wheel area, when turning either left or right and at low and high speeds. I took my car to a Dodge dealership to be checked. I was told i needed new brakes, rotors and lower control arms replaced. Which i had them replaced. I took car back because it is still doing the same thing, i was told they do not see or know any reason why it's still happening. The check engine light came on, codes ps401 and P06DD was reported. The locking of the wheel is occurring more frequently and i'm afraid to drive the vehicle.

I purchased my car on 10/1/19 with 98,000 miles. A few short days later my car started driving horrible. Shaking, bucking, jerking, hesitating to accelerate and shift and my engine light came on while driving, scanned it and was showing P0520 oil pressure sensor. That was replaced. Car was still driving the same and 3 days later while driving my engine light came on again, this time code P06DD. Brought my car to the mechanic where he had it 3 week. My oil pump was replaced with a new oem pump. The very next day while driving my engine light went on again, throwing the same code P06DD. Brought back to the dealer where my car was low 2 quarts of oil. Was told to bring it to Jeep for recall and diagnosis. Jeep has my car for 4 days, completed the recall but was unable to diagnose my car. Upon leaving the Jeep dealer my engine light came back on and now my car was stuck in safe mode and would not go over 60mph. I brought my car back to the dealer where i purchased it. They had my car for two weeks and replaced my engine. I picked my car up on 12/6/19 from the dealer i purchased from, who just replaced my engine. With a new engine, the car is still not driving right. It is still shaking, bucking, jerking, hesitating to accelerate, hesitating to shift out of all gears. I had my tires balanced 2 times. On 1/13/2020 my car while driving on the highway went into safe mode again. Not going over 60mph. This time no engine lights are on. I brought it back to the dealer i purchased from, they hooked up the computer..Which showed no codes. It took my car out of safe mode but did not fix any of the problems i'm having. Today, 1/21/20 my car went back into safe mode while driving. Will not go over 60mph and there are no lights on the dash showing there is a problem. This car is not safe. I am a single mom with 2 kids and i will not jeopardize mine or their lives in this vehicle.

My check engine light came on after driving less than 5mi. I stopped and consulted the manual. I decided to proceed home after reading it is only urgent if light is flashing. I checked my obd and it read the code P06DD which indicated a problem with oil pump. My low oil pressure light did not come on. Dealership replaced a switch. Shortly after my light came back on reading the same code. Additionally, i smelled burning oil and car went to limp mode when at 3000 rpms. Dealership replaced oil pump finally. Shortly after, the car began leaking a lot of oil. Dealership replaced oil cooler/housing. Due to the constant problems and misdiagnosis i consulted several other dealerships and found out that they frequently see my vehicle type to replace cooler. Apparently, it is due to changes made on the 3.6 engines including a plastic piece that was formally metal. The dealership i had do the repairs, claim that the switch was the problem and everything else was coincidental despite me having the code for oil pump from day 1. At approx 45000mi it is uncommon for oil system failures however it seems to be common for this make/model/year at similar milages. Search forums about this problem.

In 2019 my engine light went on with code P0520 - oil pressure sensor. I replaced the oil pressure sensor and the engine light came back on a month later with the same code P0520, so i replaced the oil pressure sensor for a second time. Less than a month later i began getting a generic code P06DD. I have sense replaced the oil pressure sensor a 3rd time along with the oil filter housing and oil pump. It was fine for about a week but then code P0520 - oil pressure sensor returned. There issue is not mechanical and no one has been mechanical as all of the parts associated with the code have been replaced repeatedly. Nobody is able to resolve it and i cannot pass inspection until they do.

2012 DODGE CHARGER with 144000 miles

On april of 2018, my car check engine light came on . I noticed my car barely taking off as i incline a hill or make a sudden stop. After observing how my car was driving suddenly slow, i then took it to landmark Dodge in morrow,ga.For a diagnostic. The code given was P06DD(dealers code). I had to gather up 2500.00 to get (valve body work) done. The check engine light stayed off until october 2019 where i took my car to auto zone for a free diagnostic, but to my surprise it gave the same code. I work back and forth out of town so therefore i didn't make it back in time to get it reinspected again for that code. Recently on april 1st.My car stalled and all lights on the dashboard came on including windshield wipers. I do noticed further ahead a week later that when ever i run over a pot hole or bump in the road it does it more often. As of now, the check engine light is still on and my car electrical system still is failing. I've owned my car for 7 1/2 years now and do plan on keeping it around for at least 10 more years. The car runs great and is good on gas. Thanks
