Cause:
Potential engine wiring harness issues.
Correction
If you encounter a vehicle that sets DTC P06DD, P06DA, P06DB or other related codes as
current or in history please complete the published SI diagnostics for the DTC's.
Do not replace the Engine Oil Control Solenoid Valve unless instructed to do so after gone
through all the steps published in the SI diagnostic procedure.
Oil Control Solenoid Valves returned for warranty have been tested and inspected with no
trouble found.
Using current Service Information perform a pin drag test using the appropriate test
terminals as outlined in SI. Also validate the Oil Pressure Control Solenoid Valve wiring
harness for potential opens or shorts.
