THIS BULLETIN SUPERSEDES SERVICE BULLETIN 24-008-14, DATED SEPTEMBER 17, 2014, WHICH SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM YOUR FILES. ALL REVISIONS ARE HIGHLIGHTED WITH **ASTERISKS** . HELP USING THE wiTECH DIAGNOSTIC APPLICATION FOR FLASHING AN ECU IS AVAILABLE BY SELECTING “HELP” THEN “HELP CONTENTS” AT THE TOP OF THE wiTECH DIAGNOSTIC APPLICATION WINDOW. THE wiTECH SOFTWARE LEVEL MUST BE AT RELEASE 15.02 OR HIGHER TO PERFORM THIS PROCEDURE. SUBJECT: HVAC Blower Intermittently Cuts out When Set On High OVERVIEW: **This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming HVAC Control Module with new software or replacing the HVAC Control Module.** MODELS: 2014 (LD) Charger 2014 (LX) 300 **2015 (LA) Challenger** NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles built on or before July 30, 2014 (MDH 0730XX). SYMPTOM/CONDITION: Customers may experience the blower cutting out when HVAC blower is set to high on Manual Temperature Control (MTC) vehicles or while using high blower in manual mode on Automatic Temperature Controls (ATC) vehicles. PARTS REQUIRED: Qty. Part No. Description **1 68199429AD HVAC Control Module** 24-008-14 REV. A -2- DIAGNOSIS: Using a Scan Tool (wiTECH) with the appropriate Diagnostic Procedures available in TechCONNECT, verify all HVAC systems are functioning as designed. If DTCs are present, record them on the repair order and repair as necessary before proceeding further with this bulletin. If the above condition is present, perform the Repair Procedure. REPAIR PROCEDURE: 1. **Is this vehicle a (LA) Challenger?** a. **Yes>>> Proceed to Step #4.** b. **No>>> Proceed to Step #2.** NOTE: Install a battery charger to ensure battery voltage does not drop below 13.2 volts. Do not allow the charging voltage to climb above 13.5 volts during the flash process. NOTE: If this flash process is interrupted/aborted, the flash should be restarted. 2. Reprogram the HVAC module. Detailed instructions for flashing control modules using the wiTECH Diagnostic Application are available by selecting the “HELP” tab on the upper portion of the wiTECH window, then “HELP CONTENTS.” This will open the welcome to wiTECH Help screen where topics can be selected. 3. Clear any DTCs that may have been set in other modules due to reprogramming. The wiTECH application will automatically present all DTCs after the flash and allow the tech to clear them. Proceed to Step #5. 4. **Replace HVAC module following the procedure outlined in TechCONNECT Section 24 - Heating and Air Conditioning > Controls > Control, A/C and Heater > Removal / Installation. Once replacement is completed proceed to Step #5.** 5. Perform the Actuator Calibration Test routine found under the Systems Test tab in the HVAC control module view in the wiTECH Diagnostic Application. POLICY: Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.
