Subject: Light Bar Control Unit Software Updates
Models Affected: XCR, XCM, XCP, XCR, XCS
Model Year(s): 2016, 2017
FCCC is aware of the issues associated with our dash mounted information center, commonly referred
to as our light bar. These issues are related to software defects in the light bar from our supplier.
Field updates are now available with Field Service Campaign SF543A software update.
One of the issues associated with the light bar is erratic generator hours. It should be noted that the
generator hours are always stored on the actual generator. The software update will not correct the
generator hours on the light bar display, but the hour meter will count time as intended going forward.
Another issue associated with the light bar is erratic odometer function. It should be noted that the
coach mileage is always stored on the engine control module. The software update will access this
information and display the correct coach mileage from the engine ECM.
Other issues that will be corrected with this software update are flickering lights in the light bar, ABS
lamp popping up at key off, Engine trip data drop out, loss of temp sensor and random faults.

specific faults in the light bar and this Field Service Campaign will be provided under warranty.
