Complete current diagnostics using latest service information for DTC P06DE. If oil pressure is below specification and major engine repairs were recently performed proceed with the following. Verify the timing chain tensioner gasket has been installed correctly and is not out of position. NOTE: See photos below of improperly installed/mis-positioned timing chain tensioner gasket* Correctly installed timing chain tensioner gasket allowing no leak path for pressurized oil. Improperly installed gasket showing leak path for pressurized oil to bleed off behind timing chain cover. Improperly installed timing chain tensioner gasket allowing pressurized oil from tensioner passage to bleed off behind timing cover. Same as above photo showing actual position of gasket once tensioner was removed. Tensioner gasket shown properly lined up in relation to mounting bolt holes.
