SITUATION:
The Air Suspension system warning light may be illuminated and the air suspension system may be
inactive.
CAUSE:
This may be caused by specific damage to the Air Suspension system compressor connector and
compressor.
ACTION:
Should a customer express this concern, refer to the Service Information and then follow the Workshop
and Diagnostic Procedures outlined below.

Location of the air suspension compressor electrical connector to be replaced.
WORKSHOP PROCEDURE:
1
Remove the air suspension compressor (see TOPIx Workshop Manual section 204-05: Vehicle
Dynamic Suspension - Air Suspension Compressor).

NOTE:
Do not discard the label. The label is required to be installed back onto the electrical
wiring harness in Step 9.

Use a suitable tool to remove the electrical wiring harness label.

CAUTION:
Do not damage the vehicle's electrical wiring harness.

Use a suitable tool to remove the securing tape from the electrical wiring harness.

Cut the electrical connector in the area shown. Make sure the electrical wiring harness is cut in a
staggered position.

Discard the old electrical connector.

NOTE:
A minimum of 40mm electrical wiring harness must be left on the electrical connector after
cutting off the electrical connector from the new electrical wiring harness.

Cut the new electrical connector off the new electrical wiring harness.

Install the new electrical connector to the original electrical wiring harness (see TOPIx Workshop
Manual section 418-02: Wiring Harnesses).

Install the electrical wiring harness label.

Install the air suspension compressor (see TOPIx Workshop Manual section 204-05: Vehicle
Dynamic Suspension - Air Suspension Compressor).
1 After finishing the installation procedure, go to the Diagnostic Procedure below.

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE:
CAUTIONS:
A Jaguar Land Rover-approved Midtronics battery power supply must be connected to the
vehicle startup battery during diagnosis / module programming.
All ignition ON/OFF requests must be carried out. Failure to perform these steps may cause
damage to control modules in the vehicle.

Connect the Jaguar Land Rover-approved Midtronics battery power supply to the vehicle startup
battery.

NOTE:
The Jaguar Land Rover-approved diagnostic equipment must be loaded with SDD153.05
Software Management Pack v297 (or later).
Connect the Jaguar Land Rover-approved diagnostic equipment to the vehicle and begin a new
session.

Follow all on-screen instructions, allowing the diagnostic equipment to read the VIN, identify the
vehicle, and initiating the data collect sequence.

Read and clear all Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC).
1 Follow the on-screen instructions until the application finishes successfully.
2 Go to the next Step.

Exit the current session.
1 Select the Session tab.
2 Select the Close Session option.

Disconnect the diagnostic equipment and battery power supply from the vehicle.
