Some 2017-2018 F-Super Duty pickups may exhibit an instrument panel cluster (IPC) turn signal
indicator that flashes fast with no inoperative turn signal lamps after the pickup box has been
removed by the upfitter. This may be due to the body control module (BCM) not recognizing the
modified lower current turn signal lighting that was installed. To correct this concern, use Integrated
Diagnostic System (IDS) service tool version 104.04 or later to configure turn lamp outage settings
as required. Under toolbox > module programming > programmable parameters > exterior lighting,
select rear bulb turn outage and outage ABM and change the setting on each parameter from outage
to no outage. Changes to lamp outage settings on pickups as a result of upfitter modifications are
non-warrantable. Upfitters are responsible for FMVSS 108 compliance.
