HELP USING THE wiTECH DIAGNOSTIC APPLICATION FOR FLASHING AN ECU IS AVAILABLE BY SELECTING “HELP” THEN “HELP CONTENTS” AT THE TOP OF THE wiTECH DIAGNOSTIC APPLICATION WINDOW. THE wiTECH SOFTWARE LEVEL MUST BE AT 15.03 OR HIGHER TO PERFORM THIS PROCEDURE. SUBJECT: Flash: Blind Spot Monitor System Improvements OVERVIEW: This bulletin involves updating the Left and Right Blind Spot Sensor (LBSS/RBSS) software. MODELS: 2013 (LD) Dodge Charger 2013 (LX) Chrysler 300 2013-**2014** (RT) Chrysler Town and Country Dodge Caravan NOTE: This bulletin applies to LD or LX vehicles built on or after April 22, 2012 (MDH 0422XX) and on or before December 22, 2012 (MDH 1222XX) equipped with Blind Spot and Cross Path Detection (sales code XAN). NOTE: **This bulletin applies to RT vehicles on or before November 21, 2013 (MDH 1121XX) equipped with Blind Spot and Cross Path Detection (sales code XAN).** 08-020-15 -2- SYMPTOM/CONDITION: The customer may experience the blind spot monitor indicator in either outside mirror maybe flashing or on continuously. On further inspection the technician will Not find any DTCs. **Symptom/Condition for RT vehicles ONLY:** **Customer may experience that the indicator in the side view mirrors may not illuminate when there is an object on either side of the vehicle.** DIAGNOSIS: Using a Scan Tool (wiTECH) with the appropriate Diagnostic Procedures available in TechCONNECT, verify no Blind Spot Monitor Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) are set. If DTCs are present record them on the repair order and repair as necessary before proceeding further with this bulletin. If the customer describes the symptom/condition, perform the Repair Procedure. REPAIR PROCEDURE: NOTE: Install a battery charger to ensure battery voltage does not drop below 13.2 volts. Do not allow the charging voltage to climb above 13.5 volts during the flash process. NOTE: If this flash process is interrupted/aborted, the flash should be restarted. 1. Reprogram the LBSS and RBSS. Detailed instructions for flashing control modules using the wiTECH Diagnostic Application are available by selecting the “HELP” tab on the upper portion of the wiTECH window, then “HELP CONTENTS.” This will open the Welcome to wiTECH Help screen where help topics can be selected. 2. Clear any DTCs that may have been set in any modules due to reprogramming. The wiTECH application will automatically present all DTCs after the flash and allow the tech to clear them.
