whenever an affected vehicle is in the shop for any maintenance or repair.
When a vehicle arrives at the service department, access Hyundai Motor America's "warranty
vehicle information" screen via WEBDCS to identify open campaigns.
Description: On certain 2019MY Veloster (JS) vehicles, the luggage covering shelf damper may
exhibit discoloration. Follow the procedure outlined in this bulletin to replace the luggage covering
shelf damper.

Inspection Procedure:

Open the tailgate and check the location of the
luggage covering shelf dampers (A).

Gently remove damper by hand and set aside.

NOTICE
Longer side of the damper (D) should
face to the lower side of the covering
shelf.
Insert the damper firmly and check that
there is no gap between the damper
and covering shelf.

Insert the new damper (C) to the covering
shelf (B). Pull the damper to clip against the
covering shelf using a plier or a similar hand tool.

Once the new dampers are installed, check
proper operation of the tailgate by performing
an open/close cycle.
Service procedure is now complete.
