Cause
The ground star is painted before the cables are installed causing insufficient
grounding.
Solution
The ground star is located on the driver's side frame rail near the battery box and fuel
tank. Multiple grounds have been moved to this location. If the ground becomes loose or
if it gets the protective coating in between the terminals the ground star needs to be
removed, cleaned, and the protective coating needs to be reapplied.
