Delivery Stop: Replace Rear Differential
A Delivery Stop was issued today on certain M2 Coupe, M3 Sedan, M4 Coupe and Convertible, 5
Series Sedan (incl. M), 6 Series Gran Coupe, Convertible, and Coupe regarding the rear differential.
Attached is Service Information bulletin M33 04 16 for more details.
At this time, a repair solution is being developed. You will be updated when additional information
becomes available.
Affected vehicles can be identified under “open campaign” in DCS Warranty Vehicle Inquiry or ISPA
Light with the description: STOP011633 Delivery Stop B330416 No repair available at this time.
We are aware that there is German language in the system and we have escalated this issue to be
resolved. You will see vehicles displayed in the key reader with the following statement for now:
F06 F1x F8x Hinterachsgetriebe
Please be reminded that it is a violation of Federal law for you to sell, lease or deliver any vehicle
covered by this notification until the delivery stop repair has been performed. This means that
centers may not legally deliver new motor vehicles to a consumer until it is fixed or use/sell
replacement equipment/parts subject to a delivery stop. Note also that substantial civil penalties
apply to violations of this law.
Also, you should not sell, lease or deliver any Certified Pre-Owned or used vehicles subject to a
delivery stop until the repair is completed.
