SUBJECT:
Right Side Engine Cover Missing With Shaker Package
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves installing the right side engine cover if missing.

NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles within the following markets/countries:
NAFTA.
NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles built on or after February 08, 2015 (MDH
0208XX) and on or before May 23, 2015 (MDH 0523XX) equipped with 6.4L
Engine And Shaker Package (sales code AZS).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The customer may notice the right side engine cover is missing. Only the right side engine
cover was missed during vehicle assembly, the left side of the engine does not get an
engine cover and is not part of this service action.
DIAGNOSIS:
If a customer’s VIN is listed in VIP or your RRT VIN list, perform the repair. For all other
customers that describe the symptom/condition listed above, perform the Repair
Procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Open the hood and inspect for the right side engine cover (Fig. 1).
2. Is the right side engine cover missing (1) or installed (2) (Fig. 1)?
a. Missing>>> Continue with the Repair Procedure Step #3.
b. Installed>>> This bulletin has been completed, use LOP (09-47-01-94) to close the
active RRT.

3. Install the right side engine wiring protector cover from the PARTS REQUIRED section
of this bulletin.
4. Remove the oil level indicator (1) from the engine and place aside. Ensure not to
contaminate the end of the oil level indicator (Fig. 2).
5. Depress the two release tabs on the sides of the power distribution center cover (2)
and place the cover aside (Fig. 2).

6. Tilt the engine cover (1) and slide it under the air scoop base plate (Fig. 3).

7. Align the attachment sockets on the inside of the engine cover (1) with the attachment
studs (2) on the engine head (Fig. 4).

8. Apply firm hand pressure to the two attachment points until the engine cover (1) snaps
in place (Fig. 5).

9. Install the cover (2) on the power distribution center (Fig. 6).

10. Install the oil level indicator (1) to the engine (Fig. 6).
