TEC3S Chain Tensioner Return
BMW AG has requested the inspection of the following part number:
11 31 7 567 680
Stock must not be sold or installed on any vehicle.
Please use the photos below for your inspection. First look for the code on the lower
right corner of the parts label. If you have the code RC1, RC2, RC3, RC4 or RC5
then you must inspect the date on the part itself. If your date is 3D7 then it must be
returned. If your code is different from the five listed above, then no inspection is
needed and the part is good (SH4 shown below is good).
Please return the part(s) to your facing Regional Distribution Center (RDC). Submit for
return using a YR26 damage claim with order reason BM2. A valid BMW delivery and
delivery item number must be entered, and TEC3S must appear in the text of your TEC
claim.
TEC3S is valid from October 18, 2012, through October 31, 2012. The deadline
for filing a claim under TEC3S is October 31, 2012. All parts must be returned
to your facing RDC no later than November 14, 2012.
