ServiceNews Article November 2018 B17120D Version 2 Accessory Rear Parking Sensors Look Crooked or Have Recessed into Bumper? AFFECTED VEHICLES Year Model Trim 2017-19 MDX Base 2017-19 MDX With Technology Package EDITOR'S NOTE: This article replaces "Check Out the Revised Accessory Parking Sensor Installation Instruction," posted in December 2017. If any of the accessory rear parking sensors look crooked or have recessed into the bumper, make sure the two clips on the rear bumper harness were removed as called out in the installation instructions. If they weren't, they can cause too much tension on the sensors with the harness installed, resulting in this issue. If any of the sensor retainers have separated from the bumper, order replacement retainers (P/N 08V67-TZ5-2M001). When installing them, be sure to thoroughly clean the rear bumper with isopropyl alcohol and a clean shop towel where the adhesive will attach. © 2018 American Honda Motor Co., Inc. — All Rights Reserved Page 1 of 1
