SUBJECT
Noise from the Power Window
MODEL
F07(5 Series Gran Turismo)
SITUATION
When operating front power windows a chattering noise can be heard.
CAUSE
Front window regulator is lacking lubrication
CORRECTION
Lubricate affected front window regulator
PROCEDURE
1. Move front window all the way
down.
2. Use an appropriate tool
(inflatable bag, nylon wedge) to
pry open the gap and access the
top of the regulator.
3. Use a tape measure to locate the
area (120mm from back edge of

trim panel) to be lubed.
4. Place the spray lube nozzle at
the upper end of the rail for the
window guide. Use a good
amount of spray lube in this
area.
5. Run the window up and down
several times until the noise is
gone. If necessary, repeat the
lubing process.
6. Clean any excessive spray lube
from the window and door
panel.
