Cause:
Consequential damage due to broken bracket on diesel particulate filter.
Remedy:
If the transmission housing is cracked as consequential damage of the broken diesel particulate filter bracket (see example pictures 01 and 02), only the torque converter housing is to be replaced.
•
Detach/attach transmission housing at torque converter housing (AR27.50-D-0601WE).
•
Remove/install B1 multidisk brake and oil pump (AR27.50-D-0721WE).
•
Replace torque converter housing.
Note:
When mounting the bracket for the diesel particulate filter, the procedure and tightening sequence must at all times
follow the specifications in the WIS documents AR49.10-D-5508-01M and SI49.10-D-0013BM.
