NOTE This service bulletin only applies to alignment issues at the rear of the fuel fill door. If your vehicle has alignment issues elsewhere, this bulletin does not apply. POSSIBLE CAUSE The fuel fill door latching mechanism does not line up properly. CORRECTIVE ACTION Replace the fuel filler lid cover. Check if the rear of the fuel filler door sticks out more than 1 mm. • If it does, go to step 2. • If it does not, this bulletin does not apply. Continue with normal troubleshooting. Page 2 of 5 2. Apply the fuel filler caution labels to the new fuel filler lid cover as shown. Make sure the new lid is clean and grease-free, especially on the surfaces where the labels will be applied. P/N 17669-TG7-A01 (Capless Information) P/N 17669-R9S-A10 (Fuel Filler Caution [Unleaded Fuel Only]) Page 3 of 5 3. Remove the original fuel filler lid cover. 3.1. Lift the fuel filler lid locking tab. NOTE The original fuel filler lid cover may be a flat type like the one shown below, or it may be a hooded type like the one shown in step 2. All the replacement lids will be the hooded type. 3.2. Slide the lid towards the fuel fill door hinge. 3.3. Slide the lid until the four tabs disengage from the slots in the fuel fill door. Page 4 of 5 4. Installation of the new fuel filler lid is the reverse of removal. Verify all the tabs are engaged, and slide the lid away from the fuel fill door hinge until it clicks. This indicates the fuel filler lid cover is secured and correctly installed. 5. Make sure the fuel fill door closes and latches without contact or interference from the mis-fuel inhibit device and surrounding area. 6. Make sure the fuel fill door release works correctly when using the fuel fill door release button. If the fuel fill door still sticks out more than 1 mm, check the fuel filler adapter for broken clips or mis-installation. If the adapter is OK, do normal troubleshooting. END Page 5 of 5
