This causes a very gradual drop in air pressure in the secondary air system, resulting in more frequent cycling of the air compressor and air purge. Solution Secondary Air System pressure will normally drop approximately 20 psi over six minutes of idling. No action is required if the air compressor is cycling a minimum of approximately every 5-6 minutes. This is considered normal.
