Fuel Injector Electrical Fault With Fault Codes Topic number LI07.16-N-069263 Version 1 Function group 07.16 Diesel injection system common rail Date 01-08-2019 Validity 906 and 907 Sprinters with OM642 engine. Reason for change Reason for block Complaint: Low power and poor throttle response. Potential hard start. Check engine light accompanied with P033600, P214600, or P027100 fault codes. Cause: Injector wire potentially shorted against high pressure line. Attachments File Description ShortedInjectorWire_OM642.JPG Shorted Injector Wire Remedy: Perform a visual inspection of the injector wiring and ensure the wires do not contact any of the high pressure lines. If contact is noticed, thoroughly inspect the wiring for damage. Repair damage, if found, and reroute wires to prevent future contact.
