Valve Spring Change to FB Engine
INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this bulletin is to announce a change to the specification of the valve springs used in
the FB engine. The new springs have different color paint marks to help identify their application.
See the Parts Information section below for details.
Important Installation Notes:
• When installing the new type valve spring, the end with the paint mark always must face
upward and be against the valve spring retainer.
•
Whenever a failed valve spring is identified, all sixteen(16) springs must be replaced AS A SET.
