Customer states:
 Heated steering wheel is not working.
Workshop findings:
The following DTC may be stored in the steering column electronics control module, J527 (address word 0016):
 DTC B145504 (Temperature sensor of steering wheel heating defective) (active/static) or (passive/sporadic)
with symptom code 7340800.
Technical Background
The steering wheel heating can already switch itself off after 5 minutes. To switch it on, the customer must press
the button of the steering wheel heater or an ignition cycle has to take place.
Climatic conditions lead to the premature deactivation of the steering wheel heating.
Production Solution
Not applicable.
Service
Clear the DTC and release the vehicle. Do not replace the steering wheel.
Note:
Replaced steering wheels will be debited.
