Replace fasteners for rear axle camber adjustment

- 2017 - 2016 -

Campaign No. 2017020019, August 2017
TO:
ALL MERCEDES-BENZ CENTERS
SUBJECT: Model 166, Model Year 2016 - 2017
Replace Fasteners for Rear Axle Camber Adjustment
Daimler AG (‘DAG’), the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain GLSClass (166 platform) vehicles, the threaded connection for the camber adjustment on the left and right of
the rear axle does not correspond to specifications. The screws’ anti-corrosion protection may have
been worn during assembly. As a result, the threaded connection may no longer be correctly tightened
during subsequent camber adjustments. An authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will replace the left and
right threaded connections on the affected vehicles.
Prior to performing this Service Campaign:
•
Please check VMI to determine if the vehicle is involved in the Campaign and if it has been previously
repaired.
•
Please review the entire Service Campaign bulletin and follow the repair procedure exactly as
described.
Approximately 11 vehicles are affected.
