• Recall 162879 [USA]: Failure of the ecall system may result in emergency responders being dispatched to the wrong location, increasing the risk of injury following a crash.
  Mercedes-benz usa, llc (mbusa) is recalling certain 2016 - 2021 cla-class, gla-class, gle-class, gls-class, slc-class, a-class, gt-class, c-class, e-class, s-class, cls-class, sl-class, b-class, glb-class, glc-class, and g-class vehicles. Please refer to the part 573 report for specific vehicle model details. The software design of the communication module may fail to communicate the correct vehicle location for the emergency call system (ecall) in the event of a crash.

• Recall 151177 [USA]: An inaccurate vehicle location may delay emergency responders, increasing the risk of injury.

(mbusa) is recalling certain 2013-2017 vehicles due to a software fault that may cause the date and time for the emergency call system (ecall) to differ from the actual date and time, potentially relaying an inaccurate vehicle location.   mbusa has initiated an over the air (ota) remote update. • Recall 139700 [USA]: The leaking oil in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

(mbusa) is recalling certain 2012-2014 ml350 bluetec 4matic and ml550 4matic, 2012-2015 ml63 amg 4matic and ml350 4matic, 2013-2016 gl350 bluetec 4matic, gl550 4matic and gl63 amg 4matic, 2017 gls350d 4matic, gls450 4matic, gls550 4matic and gls63 amg 4matic, 2015 ml400 4matic, 2016 gle400 4matic, gle350 4matic, gle63 amg 4matic, gle63s amg 4matic, gle450 4matic coupe and gle63s amg 4matic coupe, 2015-2016 gl450 4matic and 2013-2014 gl450 4matic vehicles equipped with the active curve system (acs). In certain driving conditions, if the oil level in the acs reservoir is below the minimum level, the oil may foam and leak out of the vent holes in the reservoir cap.
  mbusa will notify owners, and dealers will correct the oil level as necessary and replace the reservoir sealing cap to prevent oil foam from leaking out, free of charge.   Mercedes-benz usa, llc (mbusa) is recalling certain 2017 gle400 4matic, gle350 4matic, gle350, gle550e 4matic, gle43 amg 4matic, gle63 amg 4matic, gls450, gle63s 4matic, gls63 4matic, s550e, s600, s63 amg 4matic, s65 amg, s550, mercedes-maybach s600, mercedes-maybach s550 4matic, gle43 amg 4matic coupe, gle63s 4matic coupe, 2017-2018 gls550 4matic, s550 4matic, 2018 s450, and s63 amg 4matic vehicles. The rear passenger door on the driver side may indicate that it is locked, when it may not be. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 206, "door locks and door retention components."

  Mercedes-benz usa, llc (mbusa) is recalling certain 2017 gle 400 4matic, gle 350 4matic, gle 350, gle 550e 4matic, gle 63 amg, gle 63s amg, gle 43 amg 4matic coupe, gle 63s amg 4matic coupe, gls 450 4matic, gls 550 4matic, and gls 63 amg 4matic vehicles. In certain types of crash events, the center console may unlatch, allowing the objects within to fly around the cabin. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 201, "occupant protection in interior impact."
  mbusa will notify owners, and dealers will modify the center console so that it remains latched in a crash, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin in early march 2017. Owners may contact mbusa customer service at 1-800-367-6372.

My wife and i were driving from arizona to colorado. We were traveling at about 85 miles/ hr passing albuquerque. All of a sudden we felt and heard an explosion. My wife and i both ducked and fortunately i kept my hands on the wheel. We looked up and the sunroof had shattered and blown out. The only thing that saved us from being showered with glass was the shade of the sunroof was closed because the sunroof was closed at the time. We had t drive the remaining 400 miles with the broken sunroof. When we got back home , we contacted mercedes and asked them about the sunroof. They basically did not accept any responsibility for anything even after we told them that after googling ( mercedes exploding sunroof) a ton of items came up including several lawsuits. Mercedes does not seem to want to accept any responsibility for the sunroof. My wife and i could have been killed. We were lucky that there was no car around us and the fact that i kept my hands on the steering wheel. I do not want this to happen to any one else because they might not be as fortunate as us.

Rear axle lock up briefly made a sound like someone rear ended the car and snap the left side rear cv axle. Vehicle is awd and does not move on its own power.. Shop tow suv and on the air found the axle inner joint just spins but car does not move, they pulled the axle and the is metal burnt into the axle shaft seems rear diff lock up, oil was clean on the differential.

I purchased a 2017 gls 550 in january 2018 from loeber motors in lincolnwood illinois. The sticker on the vehicle represented that there were 'all season' tires on the vehicle. After numerous guarantees from the salesmen, i was assured that the vehicle would be 'safe' on the factory tires as they were represented as all season. It was not until i found myself driving through a spring snowstorm in wisconsin that i realized that there was something terribly wrong with the way the vehicle was handling in the storm. I was concerned that the vehicle was going to end up on the side of the road, or in a horrible accident, as the vehicle was almost unable to control. Almost every other car on the road seemed to be unfazed by this storm, yet my $100,000 vehicle was driving like a roller skate.After much research, numerous conversations with the dealer and continental tires, it has come to light that the tires on almost all gls 550's are actually the continental cross contact uhp's. Continental has verbally confirmed(on a recorded line) and through every bit of literature online, that the tires are actually summer tires and should not be driven in winter/snow conditions.While the tires may have an m and s on the sidewall, this was a designation requested by mercedes to define these tires as 'all season' as they meet the tread design for the minimum standards for all season. Continental has stated the exact opposite and does not even provide safety data for these tires in winter conditions, as they are specifically designed as a summer/performance tire. The misrepresentation about this issue is of epidemic proportion. Mercedes needs to take responsibility for this misrepresentation and notify/recalls the unsafe tires that are currently on these vehicles.This is one of the most disturbing breaches of disclosure and misrepresentation i have ever seen.

I lower the passenger car window when i entered the car in a very hot day and the window glass exploted. I took the car to the dealer and they said it was not a car defect. However, the car window glass just exploted just by lowering it.
