Complaint:
Noise from the area of the blower motor (M2) with the climate control switched on.
Cause:
Fouling of the heater housing by foreign objects (e.g. foliage).
Remedy:
1. Switch off ignition.

Remove blower motor (M2) (see Figure 01) (see AR83.25-S-1200E).
•
---------------------------------------Clean blower motor (M2) (see Figure 01) and check for damage.
Installation information: If no damage is found, reinstall the blower motor (M2) (see Figure 01) after cleaning the
areas (1) and (2) (see Figure 02) (see next steps).
If damaged, replace the blower motor (M2) (see Figure 01) after cleaning the areas (1) and (2) (see Figure 02)
(see next steps).
Note: Replacing the blower motor (M2) (see Figure 01) solely on the grounds of fouling by foreign objects (e.g.
foliage) is not permissible under warranty.

---------------------------------------Clean area (1) (see Figure 02).
•
---------------------------------------Remove combination filter (see AP83.00-S-8384E).
Information: Clean area (2) between blower motor (M2) and combination filter (see Figure 02).
Note: Replacing the combination filter solely on the grounds of fouling by foreign objects (e.g. foliage) is not permissible under warranty.
