Rear fog lamp with led rear lamps

- 2019 -

Campaign No. 2019030013, March 2019
TO:
ALL MERCEDES-BENZ CENTERS
SUBJECT:
Model 907 (Sprinter), Model Years 2019
Rear Fog Lamp with LED Rear Lamps
Daimler AG (“DAG”), the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vans, has determined that on
certain Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vehicles (platform 907, open model designation) for the
NAFTA market, the rear fog lamp in the LED rear lamps may not be activated at all or
activated with a delay even though the vehicle's rear fog light switch is in the “on” position
and its activation is indicated to the driver in the instrument cluster. In this case, the
customer’s expectation regarding a safely functioning rear fog lamp might would not be met
which could increase the risk of an accident.
Prior to performing this Recall Campaign:
 Please check VMI to determine if the vehicle is involved in the Campaign and if it has been
previously repaired.
 Please review the entire Recall Campaign bulletin and follow the repair procedure exactly as
described.
Please note that Recall Campaigns do not expire and may also be performed on a vehicle with
a vehicle status indicator.
Approximately 1,202 vehicles are involved.
Order No. V-RC-2019030013
