Condition
Some customers may comment on one or more of the following conditions:
• Loud pop coming from the Transmission Shift Lever while the vehicle is in drive and
moving.
• Shifter moves to another position when pushed on, but transmission would be still in
drive.
Cause
This condition may be caused by the selector lever cable lock not fully engaged into
housing.
Correction
Verify that the shift cable is in working condition and perform cable adjustment.
