Condition / Concern
Some Emergency Personnel may inquire about First Responder Information as it relates to various
Hybrid vehicles produced by GM.
Emergency Personnel Information is provided to assist First Responders in learning about vehicles
and/or systems that may affect how they perform in an emergency situation.

Recommendations / Instructions
Most First Responder Guides for GM vehicles can be accessed via the web by one of the
following web sites listed below:
1) Select the following web site: http://www.nfpa.org/ and selecting Training & Events/By
Topic/Alternative Fuel Vehicle Safety Training/Emergency Response Guides/ Build Your
vehicle.
2) Select the following web site: http://www.gmstc.com and selecting the first responder link
in the Left lower corner of the page. There you will find the information guides for most
of the GM hybrid vehicles
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is
resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
