Today, June 1, 2019, Acura is announcing a vehicle popula on expansion to this warranty extension to also include coverage for the 2011-14 TSX L4 and TSX Sport Wagon L4, four cylinder models. Under certain condi ons, affected vehicles may experience: Heavier than normal steering The EPS indicator may blink with no DTCs The indicator may come on steady with EPS DTC(s). Acura is extending the new vehicle limited warranty on the EPS control unit from the original 4 years/50,000 miles to 15 years/unlimited miles from the original date of purchase. BACKGROUND Affected vehicles may experience heavy steering caused by assist failure due to fa gue fractures of the relay coil wire inside the EPS control unit. In addi on, the EPS indicator may blink with no DTC(s) or come on steady with EPS DTC 32-09 (motor current correla on), 32-08 (EPS control unit internal circuit [current sensor]), or 61-04 (motor harness malfunc on). REPAIR Follow the diagnos c steps outlined in service bulle n 19-021 to determine if the vehicle qualifies for this repair. For vehicles that qualify, replace the EPS control unit as outlined in the service bulle n. PARTS Parts are available for ordering and should be ordered only a er confirming that the vehicle has the symptoms described in service bulle n 19-021. TOOLS There are no special tools or equipment required for this repair.
