LATEST VEHICLE CONCERN FIXES
Turbo Seized & P02CD stored in PCM
Customer Voice:
– CEL is on the Instrument Cluster. Vehicle is sluggish on acceleration and emits
heavy exhaust at idle.
Technical Description:
– Turbo may be ingesting oil from impeller bearing failure or the impeller nut
becoming dislodged. If all parts are not found, this can result in a second turbo
replacement.
Status:
– Under Investigation
– Replace the turbo as required & find all missing pieces.
– Once turbo replacement is complete & test drive successful, run a new
session file. Check for any stored DTCs. Prior to release of vehicle, check
compression on all cylinders, ideally using PicoScope. If low compression is
found with DTC P02CD stored, please raise a TA and follow LTS guidance.
Otherwise, raise an EPQR with a picture of the part label on the replaced
turbo. Hold onto the replaced parts.
