Cause
Air system function and design changes have been made in some model year 2020
vehicles. This includes a new design and location for the air dryer.
Solution
The Wabco System Saver™ HP High Performance Air Dryer will be
introduced to some model year 2020 Volvo and Mack chassis. Refer to the list
of changes below.
• The air dryer housing and the filter cartridge have a proprietary thread pattern.
- NOTE: The air drier housing may be damaged if an incorrect filter cartridge is
used.
• The governor has been relocated from the firewall to the air dryer.
• The purge tank will now be located on the dryer itself.

• Part number 23036573 is used for applicable vehicles with an OEM powerplant.
