Classification: Reference: Date: EL19-013 ITB19-014 June 13, 2019 2013 JX35 AND 2014-2020 QX60; REMOVAL OF HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LOCATING BRACKET APPLIED VEHICLES: 2013 JX35 (L50) 2014-2020 QX60 (L50) SERVICE INFORMATION If replacement of a Front Combination Headlamp assembly (headlight assembly) is necessary, for the applied vehicles, the locating bracket (if present) on the new replacement headlight assembly must first be removed before installation. Inspect the new replacement headlight assembly and confirm if a locating bracket is attached, with a Torx screw, on top in the center (see Figure 1). Is a locating bracket present? NO: This bulletin does not apply. Continue with the installation of the new replacement headlight assembly. YES Headlight assembly 1. Using a T10 Torx screwdriver, remove the locating bracket attached to the topcenter of the replacement headlight assembly (see Figure 1). 2. Discard the locating bracket and Torx screw. 3. Continue the installation of the replacement headlight assembly. NOTE: Refer to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM) for the procedure to remove or install a headlight assembly. T10 Torx screw Figure 1 Locating bracket CAUTION: Take care when installing the headlight assembly so that the painted surface of the fender is not damaged. Black electrical tape can be used to protect the edge of the fender while installing the headlight assembly. Infiniti Bulletins are intended for use by qualified technicians, not 'do-it-yourselfers'.
