The following DTC may be stored in the control module for driver assistance systems, J1121 (address word
00A5):
 DTC C12B3FA (front camera for driver assist systems - communication fault) with symptom code 221189.
Technical Background
This software needs to be updated. This is a rare scenario, which causes a warning.
Production Solution
The software is in preparation.
Service
1. Delete the DTC(s).
2. After deleting the DTC(s) the concern is fixed and is unlikely to reoccur.
Note:
A replacement of the front camera for the assistance systems R242 does not solve this issue, even if suggested
by the Guided Fault Finding. Claims for replaced parts will be subject to review.
