DPF Efficiency Below Threshold
Customer Voice:
• Check engine light on instrument cluster
Technical Description:
• P2002 is stored in the PCM for DPF Efficiency below threshold
Status:
• Software is expected to be available on Pathfinder in the end of August.
• Diagnose the vehicle as per TOPIx. Until software is available, replace the DPF
if this code is stored in isolation and all other root causes have been ruled out.
• Once the software is available and a vehicle has this code stored, replace the
DPF and then update the PCM software. Updating the PCM will mitigate
reoccurrence but the DPF will need to be replaced prior to update if the DTC is
already stored.
