None
Some customers may comment that the MIL is illuminated and the stop start
function is not working.
Technicians may nd only DTC P2797 set in the Transmission Control Module (TCM).
P2797 Auxiliary Transmission Fluid Pump Performance.
This condition may be caused by an internal failure in the auxiliary uid pump.
Correction:
Replace the auxiliary transmission pump if P2797 Auxiliary Transmission Fluid Pump
Performance is the only code set.
If any other codes are set refer to SI and diagnose those codes first
Service Procedure:
Refer to: Automatic Transmission Fluid Pump Removal.
Note: To remove the pump assembly grasp the turbine shaft and remove the forward clutch and pump assembly
as one piece.
Keep the clutch assembly inserted in the pump, this will protect the shaft seals and they will not need to be
replaced.
Refer to Transmission Fluid Pump Disassemble for instruction for replacing the auxiliary pump .
Note: The WPC pump assembly comes with “B” seal ring, item # 162 already installed.

the TSP Dealer Request Form located on Global Connect
