This is occurring when dealers are removing glue residue left by the identification label, during the PDI process. The peeling of the chrome plating may be due to improper removal of the glue by using a razor blade, box cutter, sand paper, polishing machine, or any polishing compound. This TSB instructs dealers to properly remove any glue residue using Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA). AFFECTED VEHICLES D All models with identification labels on door mirrors REPAIR PROCEDURE 1. While conducting the PDI process, remove the identification label. 2. Use Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) to remove any glue residue left behind by the label.
