PURPOSE
Dealers have reported peeling of the chrome plating on vehicle door mirrors. This is occurring when
dealers are removing glue residue left by the identification label, during the PDI process. The peeling
of the chrome plating may be due to improper removal of the glue by using a razor blade, box cutter,
sand paper, polishing machine, or any polishing compound.
This TSB instructs dealers to properly remove any glue residue using Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA).
