"Need To Know" information to the technical service community. SSM's may be issued in
advance of a technical bulletin or may be the only communication on a given topic. All
information contained in Jaguar technical communications are intended for use by trained,
professional technicians with the knowledge, tools, and equipment required to complete the

Headlamp lens micro cracking - A small number of
customer's may report that the lens surface of the
headlamp is cracking (as per attached image 1.0).
C a u s e:
A combination of heat and strong cleaning products
may affect the lens surface.
Action:
1. This repair is o n l y applicable to the following part

2. Ensure the new headlamp is marked with a green
dot (as per attached image 2.0).
3. Replace only the affected head lamp unit as per topix
(407-01: Exterior Lighting, Removal and Installation –
Headlamp Assembly).
