Description
This PARTS ONLY Campaign is being issued to allow end users and Fleets to update
the oil level gauge (dipsticks) on certain L9 Engines installed in Navistar Truck
applications.
Note : This field action provides retroactive coverage for repairs made in
anticipation of and prior to the release of this publication.
Action
In order to qualify for repair under this field action, an engine:
1. will be covered Regardless of coverage status, and
2. must show an OPEN status for this field action on QuickServe® Online.
Note : The ESN list is attached for reference.
After verifying that the engine meets the above requirements, perform the following

actions:
1. Provide Customer with new Oil Gauge Dipstick. PN 552619800.
2. File claim for Parts Only. Where possible, part claims should be filed by regional
distribution as per the Multiple ESN Claim Procedure outlined in Section 508-006 of
the Warranty Administration Manual (WAM).
Note : To assist with identification when installed, new replacement parts are
identifed by a paint dot on top face of oil gauge dipstick handle.
Material Disposition
Materials removed as a result of this field action must be scrapped.
