WH57 Workshop campaign with customer letter "Replacing airbag
control unit"
Overview
An airbag control unit that does not meet the required speci cations was installed on the a ected vehicles.
As a result, when the airbag control unit is exposed to electromagnetic interference, it can incorrectly send an accident
message to the Porsche Vehicle Tracking System (PVTS) control unit. The PVTS control unit then automatically sends an
emergency call with location and vehicle data. An emergency plan is activated and the emergency service is informed.
To prevent this from happening, the airbag control unit must be replaced by a modi ed airbag control unit.

* The parts must be stored until such a time as the related warranty or campaign claim has been credited in WWS. If a
barcode is generated with the credit note, the a ected part must be sent to Porsche AG as usual. If no barcode is
generated with the credit note, the part can go directly into the genuine remanufactured parts process or be scrapped.
Ordering required parts
PCNA will auto-allocate 80% of parts for this campaign to your dealer based on UIO, which will arrive in calendar week 37.
Additional parts beyond the 80% auto-allocation can be ordered as required without PTEC or email. Additional updates,
including parts status, will be added to this campaign page when available.
