Condition
The customer may mention that a loss of propulsion was experienced. The vehicle
may operate normally after the vehicle was restarted at a later time. History code
P0A3F and sometimes P1B03 are found in the Hybrid/EV Powertrain Control
Module.
Cause
It is believed they are intermittent faults with the electrical circuit that may not
self-heal.
Correction:
Using SI Document ID 4583435 as a guide, inspect the terminals at connector X1 at the T6 Power Inverter
Module and the X2 connector at the T12 Transmission Assembly.
Pay special attention to the Diagnostic Aids in SI Document ID 4583435. Look for any backed out, bent, or
spread terminals on both sides of the connector.
1. If a concern is found with a terminal, please contact Technical Assistance and provide a clear picture
of the issue. DO NOT attempt to repair these sensitive Circuits with terminated leads or new
terminals.
Whether or not terminal problems are found, please replace the under-hood "engine" harness when
diagnosing these DTCs. This is for protection of the customer for any circuit imperfection that could cause
these DTCs which will cause a vehicle shutdown while driving.
When preparing the parts for Return
Please protect all of the T6 X1 and T12 X2 connector ends for warranty parts return analysis.
