Condition
Some customers may comment after having N192268090 / N192264451 /
N192210460 completed, they have a Service Brake System, Reduced Engine Power,
and/or Speed Limited messages on the DIC. Along with these messages, a SES MIL
will be on and the brake pedal may feel hard. These issues may not appear right
away after the update and may occur a day or so later, depending on vehicle usage.
When checking for DTC's the BSCM will have set a P0606 and C0021 and the ECM a
P25A2.
This condition is more likely to occur if the customer uses the Onstar Phone APP to
remote start the vehicle.
Cause
If the BSCM was programmed between the dates of December 12th, 2019 to
January 15th, 2020 an electrical anomaly during the BSCM initialization could cause
these concerns.
Correction:
Note: When performing any programming event, it is critical to maintain proper battery voltage by using a battery
maintainer, preferably the GR8 or EL-52800 Diagnostic Charge Battery Station (DCBS).
GM Engineering has released new BSCM calibrations to correct this concern. Reprogram the BSCM with the latest
calibrations, per N192268091: Noncompliance - Brake System Malfunction Warning.
