Tl* the contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. While driving 60 mph, the check engine, stability control, traction control, and abs warning indicators illuminated. Also, the "limited to 62 mph" message was displayed and the vehicle did not respond when the brakes were applied. The contact had to downshift for the vehicle to stop. The contact called onstar and was informed that codes: 925a2, P0606, and C0021 regarding the ecm, charging system, air bags, and transmission were detected. The vehicle was taken to gilbert Chevrolet (3550 us-441, okeechobee, fl 34974, (863) 261-8947), but was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 423.
SERVICE BRAKES,

2019 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500 with 26210 miles

Reduced ability to brake my truck almost caused accident.. Warning light popped up abs, brake, traction control with warnings going across dash like brake system failure 62 mph top speed, service trailer brakes. Codes C0021 P0606,& P25A2. Had update for this problem a couple weeks ago and it was suppose to fix this the dealership said over the phone when called today. Never had this problem before .I am pretty sure that update just updates the messaging letting the driver know he or she is about to die. Taking it into dealer later today. Zf trw integrated brake control (ibc) had early manufacturing issue leaving metal shaving in the units. These shaving would score the walls and damage units,no ones investigating this issue because it would cost gm too much to replace all ibcs in every truck during early stages of the t1 launch. Trw knows of this issue and has piles of these sitting on engineers desks. There needs to be a recall on all early production t1 truck to replace these ibcs. Gm has only been replacing these on a case by case bases when someone reports this problem and their vin number falls within trw suspected problem dates. By this time its too late and can cause an accidents.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM,

2014 SUBARU FORESTER with 7700.0 miles

This vehicle is a Forester xt turbo. I was operating on cruise control at 78 mph, approximately 900 miles from home, when a sudden loss of propulsion occurred. Dashboard had multiple warning lights. Engine was still operating, though at very low rpm so i was able to maintain steering and braking control. After maneuvering to the side of the road, i noticed the tachometer was fluctuating between 500-800 rpm. I turned off the engine and was able to restart. The following warning lights were still illuminated: check engine, hill control, cruise control, and operating mode. Operating mode was stuck in "sport" mode. I was able to drive vehicle at normal speed to nearest dealer approximately 10 miles away. The service technician stated i had an error code of P0606. This is a voltage issue on the engine control module, (ecm). The corrective action is to re-flash the ecm computer chip. This is a restricted action, requiring a field service engineer to come to the dealer to do the procedure. The technician stated they had already experienced this with a vehicle they sold but the problem with the module usually occurs on engine start. The technician cleared the error codes and i continued on my trip. Upon returning to my home, i took the vehicle to my dealer to be serviced. My dealer stated they were one of the first to experience this issue. I am wondering why there has been no recall/notice to owners of this problem since it has been known for a while. It is frightening to lose power when cruising at highway speed.

Some 2011-2016 fiesta and 2012-2016 Focus vehicles equipped with a dps6 transmission may exhibit intermittent concerns of loss of transmission engagement while driving, intermittent no syart or loss of power. These symptoms are usually accompanied by an illuminated check engine lamp. Additionally, symptoms may include messages in the message center indicating hill start assist is not available, that parking aid malfunction/ service is required or the transmission prndl/s gear selector on the instrument cluster may flash. Diagnostic trouble codes dtcs U0100, U0101, U1013 and/or P0606 will be present or stored in the powrttrain control module (pcm). I turned on car from walmart parking lot. A message appeared on saying transmission fault service now and check engine lamp came on. As i drove back home the car pulls back as i stop at a traffic light. Took it to carmax and they said to take it a place to check transmission. Baumann complete auto repair center said that the car needs to be completely reprogrammed. Tsb 16-0129.

Traveling on i-5 in stop and go traffic 0- 60 mph when transmission started shifting roughly. It then shifted to neutral and would not respond to shifter inputs. I was in the second lane from the right doing 10 or 15 mph. I was able to force my way into the right lane and off to the shoulder. I put the transmission in sport and paddle shifter mode with no response from the shift selector. Thinking this is a computer problem i rebooted by shutting car off and restarting. All functions returned to normal. Took to dealer where i got very good service but it turns out there was a mercedes bulletin regarding this problem. It required a software update that has appearently fixed the problem. What happened to me was very minor when compared to what could have happened losing power on the freeway and i believe there should have been a recall on such a serious safety problem. Computer faults that were found were P060600,P073000, P073200, P07300, P073400, P07350008

Check engine light is on - diagnosed as transmission control module is bad and needs to be replaced; however, the code (P0908) is not part of the extended warranty. The vehicle is showing all symptoms/behavior which if the code was P0606, replacement would be covered. If the tcm is bad, it's bad and Ford should offer consideration - currently, the vehicle is not safe to drive!

This is an update to a previous complaint with my car. Previously the car gave out in the hills of a sf. The car said it had a problem with the transmission and would not give any propulsion risking going backward on a hill. The dealer updated the software. They said this was the fix. They said after 1000 miles it should fix itself. Since then the car has been running much more sluggish. It forces itself on accelerating. It jerks much more excessively when i take off the gas. It jerks much more when i brake and i hear the metal grinding and clanking together. It was a really bad software update. 1000 passed and we ran into another problem. I had the car parked in the house. Tried to turn car back on and would not turn on. I heard clicking noise as if the battery was dead. I had dome lights on for a few minutes but nothing excessive. Shouldn't die out like that. Tried several times to turn it on and nothing. Started to call roadside assistance for backup. I then removed the car charger i had plugged in and tried again. The car sputtered on and starting giving me notifications. A service and check engine light. Also the display said that there was a "transmission malfunction" and to service it now. The engine was really forcing itself as i heard it. Rpm was high even going slow. Car still sputters on after a few tries. Checked the codes through obd2. Car was throwing P0606. Said that it was ecm/pcm processor problem. I have no idea what is wrong with this car. I feel like its completely falling apart all around. Horrible car with too many issues!!!! This car needs a massive recall on it!!! It is unequivocally unsafe and unfit for the road!

On september 25, 2014, i was headed home from work traveling 45 miles per hour when the message stabilitraking off appeared on the dashboard. It was a clear and sunny day. As i continued to drive, my vehicle began to loose power and proceeded to slow down as i was in route. I immediately pulled to the side of the road and dashboard message was flashing stabilitraking off, service traction control, service stabilitraking, engine power is reduced then the engine shutdown and would not turnover. It would not make a sound. I called onstar service for towing. They did a diagnostic check at my request and the following codes were given: P0502, P0513, P0606 and P0700. After 45 minutes of waiting beside the road, i attempted to start the vehicle again and it cranked. However, still flashing the same messages above; it would not pick speed. The engine light never went off. I was only able to travel about 25 miles per hour and made it home safely. I had to have a towing company tow it from my yard to the dealer. I picked it up two days later from the dealer. They were unable to duplicate the problems, could find nothing wrong, cleared all codes and i picked up my vehicles and went home with no answers.

2008 AUDI A4 with 101000. miles

I was driving on rout 62 with my 16 year old niece and my car felt like it went into neutral, the lights on the dash started flashing. The brake pedal felt tight but i was able to pull over without causing an accident. It keeps happening and i am afraid to drive. (especially knowing there is an open recall because my airbags may not work or worse, cause severe injury due to metal shrapnel) i also read that my car has a hidden defect that the timing chain can go at any time, causing catastrophic engine failure. I brought it to an independent volkswagen Audi mechanic where they did a diagnostic. He told me to bring it to someplace that specializes in transmissions.I looked in my owners manual and under transmissions. It says if this happens drive it to your nearest Audi shop. I emailed Audi because i read that there were recalls and technical service bulletins about the diagnostic code P0606. I saw that there are many class action lawsuits and complaints all about the same problem with my car. I can't wait years for a class action lawsuit. I live in new england and it's getting cold. This is my only car. I bought 6 months ago, in november. I have done all the service and maintenance recommended by Audi. What ever it is that is wrong with my car, Audi has fixed other cars but not fixing mine and my car. I take excellent care of my car, inside and out. It has been serviced at every recommend milage date. Nothing has ever gone neglected. My car is completely inoperable and it is due to defects that were made during manufacturing. I do not trust Audi customer service or the Audi service center.

Eve of 4/21/17, after being driven & parked on a city street for about an hr, the vehicle would not start although there was full battery power. The vehicle was secured & left to sit. Morn of 4/22/17 svc ctr was notified. Vehicle still wouldn't start, but, upon insertion of the key & initial crank, the car began experiencing sudden random clicks of the ignition switch, door locks engaging, dashboard panel flashing. Upon removing the key & reinserting it, the key appeared to have deprogrammed & the anti theft light was activated. The key was removed & the car secured. Later, attempt to engage the ignition using the second new key & was unsuccessful-the key would not turn to off position but locked in acc mode position. Later, the vehicle was towed per dealer auth. The tow truck operator noted that the car battery appeared to have drained by their arrival, the key would not disengage from the ignition & the car would not come out of park. 4/24/17 service found codes P0604 & P0606 control module ram failure + internal controller failure- dealer courtesy performed reprogramming, theft relearn & crank variation learn. Purchased car as fourth owner (according to carfax report) on saturday 31 may 2008. The following thursday the car began to act as though it was going to cut out and the abs and brake system lights flashed and sounded. The lights and a/c were typically surging. Car was inspected that friday by dealers mechanic of choice. He put the computer to the car and it read all 6 stator coils were bad. He reset the computer and drove it trying to get the car to act up again and it did not. Today, saturday 14 jun 2008, the car did it again and the engine light stayed on. Dealers mechanic was closed so i had someone else check it and they got the same reading with this message: P0606 pcm processor fault. Mechanic told me this was the computer. My car has 80,710 miles on it. Is this a normal failure? Were there any recalls?

2004 SATURN L300 with 81000.0 miles

I own a 2004 Saturn L300 sedan. On october 25, 2007, i was driving my car on the highway in the passing lane going about 65 to 70 mph and the car stalls and the gas pedal shows no response. The car engine warning light comes on along with the service engine light and loss of power light on the dashboard. I had to crossover a lane and pull the car over. While putting the car in park the car shakes. I turn the ignition off and start the car again and i am able to go but the transmission shifts very hard. There were no precursor signs that the car was having problems. The car was towed to the Saturn dealership, and they expressed that code P0606 showed up and that they had to replace the engine control module (ecm/pcm) because it was faulty. On january 31, 2008, i was driving on the freeway and the car stalled again while i was in the passing lane. I took the car to an auto parts store so that they could get a quick scan on the computer. Again the code P0606 shows up. I had the gentleman print me out a copy of the code, for my own record. The receipt stated that the probable cause for the problem is a failed ecm. So i return to the Saturn dealership to have them check up on the problem. Later that day, they told me that they could not find the problem and then when i showed them that i had the codes read just before i came in, they had told me that "yes , that code came up, but that was an old code from before, so we just erased it". Even though i had proof that it was a new code, they ignored my concerns. On february 12, 2008, just 12 days after being in the shop, it happened again. I was driving down the highway and the car stalls while i am in traffic going about 65 mph. I again go to the auto store to obtain the receipts of what is wrong with the car. The same code comes up again P0606 (ecm/pcm fault). I take it to the dealership and the decide to replace to mass air sensor because that's what they think is wrong with it.

2004 SATURN L300 with 91000.0 miles

Problem synopsis: while driving at freeway speeds (65 miles per hour) the vehicle lost power, causing the "reduced engine power" (rep) and "service vehicle soon" (svs) lights to illuminate. Upon pulling to the side of the road and shifting the vehicle into park, it would idle roughly until shutting the engine off. Vehicle would start immediately after, with high rpm at idle and hard shifts into gear. Vehicle would only exhibit these problems when the automatic transmission would shift gears, usually between 3rd and 4th gear. /// repair history: a repair shop diagnosed the problem as a failed engine control module, and a new one was installed into the vehicle. Cost of repair was approximately $1,100. Three months later (oct. 2011), the vehicle started exhibiting the same problems. Returned to the same shop, and repairmen could not find problem, simply clearing the obd-ii codes in the computer. Vehicle exhibited same symptoms once in november 2011 after a rain storm; no action was taken as vehicle did it only once. In december 2011, vehicle exhibited same problems four time during a 25-mile drive. Codes revealed P0606, P0700, P1811. Vehicle to be taken for a third time to repair shop to get this problem fixed.
