Condition
Some technicians may experience a check engine lamp with DTC: P0606 set current
in the Body Control Module.
The customer may also experience issues with HVAC and lighting, as well as some
various DIC messages
Cause
This issue may be caused by BCM software that is out of date or a BCM Program
Flow Monitoring Status Parameter that is reading "Active".
Correction:
Connect an MDI2 to the vehicle and navigate to GDS2 and select the following: > Module Diagnostics > Body
Control Module > Identi cation Information > Internal Control Module Performance Data
Review the parameters. If only the “Program Flow Monitoring Status” is active and all other parameters are
inactive, please attempt to program the BCM with the latest calibration in Techline Connect under the SPS Tab.
If the BCM software is up to date or an update was just performed, review "Program Flow Monitoring Status"
parameter once more.
If the “Program Flow Monitoring Status” parameter is still "Active" with all other parameters reading inactive, then
clear codes and take no further action.
The P0606 code may remain and engineering is working on a x.
Do not replace the BCM to try and resolve this concern.
If the software update was performed and the parameter titled "Program Flow Monitoring Status" is "Inactive"
and all other parameters are "Inactive", clear any codes and the vehicle is repaired.
Note:
If “Program Flow Monitoring Status” is reading "Active" along with any other parameters that reads " Active",
follow Service information diagnostic procedure for DTC: P0606.
-orIf “Program Flow Monitoring Status” is reading "Inactive" with any other parameters that read "Active", follow
Service Information diagnostic procedure for DTC: P0606.
