TEC210 Knee Pad Airbag Module Return
BMW AG has requested the return of the following part numbers:
72 12 9 228 652 / 72 12 9 228 653
Stock should not be sold or installed on any vehicle.
Concerned are all parts delivered and shipped so far.
Please return all part(s) to your facing Regional Distribution Center (RDC). Submit for
return using a YR26 damage claim with order reason BM2. A valid BMW delivery and
delivery item number must be entered, and TEC210 must appear in the text of your
TEC claim.
TEC210 is valid from January 17, 2020, through January 31, 2020. The deadline
for filing a claim under TEC210 is January 31, 2020. All parts must be returned
to your facing RDC no later than February 14, 2019.
*Airbags are considered Dangerous Goods. If you need to return any air bags,
you must be hazmat certified and have a DGIS subscription. If you don’t have
either, a scrapping certificate will be provided.
Please reorder new part numbers 72 12 5 A01 DF0 and 72 12 5 A01 DF1 if
needed.
