Condition
A technician cannot complete module programming, configuration or setup using
MDI 1 (Multiple Diagnostic Interface) on Next Generation Digital Vehicle Platforms.
Cause
The cause of the issue is that MDI 1 does not have the capability to complete
programming or setup procedures on Next Generation Digital Vehicle Platforms. MDI 2 is
a required tool and will be needed to complete service on vehicles on Next Generation
Digital Vehicle Platform.
