Service Bulletin Bulletin No.: 20-NA-081 Date: April, 2020 INFORMATION Subject: Surface Rust on Front Seat Bottom Frames Brand: Model: Chevrolet Bolt EV Model Year: VIN: from to 2017 2020 Involved Region or Country from to Engine: Transmission: All All North America, Middle East, South Korea Condition 5552481 Some customers may comment on the surface rust under the front seat bottom frames. Cause Depending on the exposure of the vehicle to outside weather conditions, including salt in the air, surface rust can be found on the underside of the front seat cushion frames. Correction This is a cosmetic condition in an area that is not visible to the customer during typical vehicle use. Please do not replace the front seat frames for cosmetic corrosion in areas that are not visible to the customer during typical vehicle use. Copyright 2020 General Motors LLC. All Rights Reserved. Page 2 April, 2020 Bulletin No.: 20-NA-081 5552478 Note: Areas that are considered “visible to the customer during typical vehicle use” can be seen while standing outside the vehicle, sitting in the vehicle, or during entry/exit like illustrated above. This includes, but is not necessarily limited to: seat tracks, adjuster handles, and visible portions of the adjuster linkages. Parts Information No parts are required for this repair.
