DESCRIPTION
Some customers may experience a TCS/DSC warning light and SCBS warning light (amber) illumination
with DTC C0051:62 stored in PCM memory.

DTC C0051:62 - EPS control module[when the vehicle is driven in a straight line, the difference
between the steering angle (calculated by each sensor) and the steering angle (from the steering
angle sensor) is greater than the specification].
This concern most likely occurs during the following situations:


When the vehicle is turning in reverse, right after starting the engine.
When the vehicle is going over a bump or a curb, right after starting the engine.
This concern may be caused when the DSC HU/CM performs the steering center position calibration.
During the learning process, if a shock is applied to the vehicle by a bump or curb etc., the steering center
position may not be properly detected and creates a steering center position error. To eliminate this
concern, the DSC HU/CM control software has been modified.
Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Verify the customer concern.
2. Replace the DSC HU/CM with a modified one according to MGSS online (DSC HU/CM
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION).
3. Verify the repair.
